About the American Airlines Center
Although American Airlines Center has only been around since 2001,it has already proven to be one of the best venues in all of entertainment. The team combined architecture and technology to give Dallas a beautiful, fan friendly venue with lots of hi-tech touches. From its sweeping signature arches to the retractable seating, American Airlines Center's unique features single it out as the premier sports and entertainment venue in the country.
There are three main tenants that call American Airlines Center home. They include the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA, the Dallas Stars of the NHL, and the Dallas Desperados of the AFL. With all of these professional sports teams sharing the venue it is easy to see why it is always so crowded.
Since opening its doors the American Airlines Center has seen a lot of memorable moments. In addition to all of the great regular season and playoff games played by the Mavericks and Stars, plenty of other special events have also taken place at the arena. The NHL All Star Game was played at American Airlines Center in 2007, bringing millions of dollars of additional revenue to the city. Additionally, hundreds of top notch bands and performers have also put on shows at American Airlines Center.
Events that pass through American Airlines Center each year include the Ringling Brothers Cirucs and Disney on Ice: High School Musical. Various other concerts are held each year at American Airlines Center. Previous concerts at American Airlines Center include Tina Turner, Van Halen, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, and Elton John.
The American Airlines Center has a great location in Dallas. Being easy to access and offering many features make the venue popular among NHL and NBA fans, as well as those who simply love the city of Dallas.
